For most of that time I have been in New Zealand, hiding from the Broome humidity and lapping up a beautiful Wanaka summer. It is one of my most favourite places on earth and I feel so lucky to be able to spend at least three months a year here over the summer, when the weather in Broome is less than ideal.
I've still been working flat out though - both on existing projects and some new ventures for 2012, including a new furniture line that is in development.
Since I've been here, a new cafe in town opened and the interior got me excited. It's very raw and industrial and with some great edgy detail: graffiti art and lots of cord lighting kits from Lightly. Can't go past a bare bulb.

| See the plywood panel wall to the left? It's possibly my favourite feature of the interior. |

PS these pics aren't mine, I brazenly stole them from the Lake Wanaka Facebook Page. Probably not the best way to start the year.
Hopefully it won't be another month before the next update.
